Fun tools for quilting

Sherry Boren took a picture of a quilt she loved and then re-created it.  We talked about just doing cross-hatching but that would put the quilt back on the square and take away the diagonal look. I finally got to use the cool cable tool I bought for the border. It gives it a very traditional look for the traditional fabrics. I didn't try to go around the corner, I did a stop at the seam line.

This is just a fun quilt with a fun border. The inside is just an over-all floral pattern I free-handed.

This is a great flag quilt that will have the piecing corners trimmed so it will be a curved quilt. I pebbled the white stripes and used the zig-zag in the red to inspire my quilting there.

On the blue field I quilted stars that nestled together and also nested inside each other. There were several different sizes of stars. I used variegated thread in stippling
